Outlook on Super Bowl 49By Jimari Troupe
Press Crew January 27, 2015 The match is set, and the tickets are stamped The New England Patriots will take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 49.
The Seahawks punched their ticket with a sloppy win over the Green Bay Packers. After a 16-0 half and their quarterback Russell Wilson throwing 3 interceptions with a kickoff return fumble, the Seahawks were sure to be upset at home despite being a shoe in. After a long drive the Seahawks pulled of some trickery with a fake field goal when the holder Jon Ryan, who’s also the punter, pulled the snap rolled out and floated a pretty pass over the Packers Linebacker AJ Hawk to 306 pound tackle Garry Gilliam for the first touchdown for the Seahawks. That’s when the tide turned from that point on the Seahawks dominated, especially on the defensive side of the ball holding the Packers to only 6 points and forcing overtime where Seattle scored on their first drive resulting in the first team to advance to the Super Bowl in back to back seasons since 2004. In the AFC it wasn’t nearly as a close game. The Indianapolis Colts were man handled on defense with a strong tough Lagarrete Blount running the ball. In a noisy messy game the colts couldn’t get the ball moving holding pro bowler TY Hilton to only one catch. For Tom Brady and company it was a breeze moving the ball putting up 45 points in the entire game while the Cots only punched it in once. Final score being 45-7. The patriots advance to their 6th Super Bowl, Don’t worry Pats fans, the Giants aren’t playing in this one. Going into their second Super Bowl I think the Seahawks are too powerful even though Brady has experience the Seahawks are younger and just the better team I’m picking the Hawks in this one. You can catch the big game on Sunday, Februarys 1, at 6;30 pm on CBS. |
