Golden Globes: the best/worst dressed.By Sydney Booker
Entertainment Editor January 26, 2015 With the beginning of the new year, comes the beginning of awards shows and more importantly, fashion do’s and fashion don’ts . The Golden Globes was full of fashion greatness and fashion Faux Pa’s
At the Golden Globes, everyone was dressed to the nines but some weren’t as successful as others. Lana del Ray, unfortunately was on the worst dressed list. Wearing an aquamarine colored pleated dress, she unfortunately didn’t work the mermaid look. Along with Lana, Kiera Knightly didn’t work the red carpet either. Her granny inspired high necked dress was a no from fashion experts everywhere. Melissa McCarthy also tried to rock the vintage look and failed. Her Victorian inspired pink and black ensemble made her look frumpy and wasn’t up to par. Kerry Washington also failed to capture the look, wearing a pink and purple dress with a sweetheart neckline. But, never fear, as always the stars manage to have some amazing ensembles. Jennifer Lopez was stunning in her nude, beaded ensemble with a deep V neckline. Whites, creams and nudes seemed to be the trend at the Golden Globes this year. Reese Witherspoon also wore a cream dress with shiny details. She rocked the sophisticated look. Salma Hayek was an eye catcher in her cream ball gown with a metallic belt to set off her features. Kate Hudson rocked a white dress with a deep V and cutouts on the sides. Her simple beauty was a show stealer. The stars will all have their time to be best or worst dressed. With more upcoming award shows, there will be more fashion to watch and to judge. The Golden Globes was the beginning of an entire year of fashion to watch. |
