Albums we've been anticipating this yearBy Jess Rivera
Opinion Editor October 19, 2015 We’ve had our fair share of fun this year when it boils down to Hollywood scandals. Kylie Jenner and Tyga’s unaccepted relationship, the feud between Drake, Meek and Nicki, Kanye announcing his running for presidency in 2020, Nicki calling Miley out in the VMA’s and so much more. Besides the laughs we share over the ridiculousness that comes with Hollywood, we’re more excited for the albums that are being released this year.
We will certainly be expecting an album by the one and only Beyoncé. Beyoncé has been working with artist like Future, Mike Will Made-it and Bone Thugs N-Harmony. There’s no doubt that this album will be just as successful as her fifth album, Beyoncé. Another powerful vocalist who will be releasing her album on Oct. 16th is Demi Lovato. Demi has shown a confident side to her in the “Cool for the summer” video and the “Confident” video. In a recent interview, she stated that her ultimate goal is to win a Grammy. With her vocals, I’m sure she’ll accomplish that easily. A male artist who hasn’t released an official album since 2012 is popstar Justin Bieber. On November 13th, his album Purpose, will be released. Bieber has released two singles that have made it to the Billboard charts, so it’s pretty clear that his album will be fire. Rihanna is also another artist who will be releasing an album this year. Her Instagram is full of little snippets or previews from the album. We’re definitely rooting for Rihanna because even Ne-Yo has stated that the album sounded “Amazing.” There are many more artists both new and mainstream who are planning to end 2015 with a bang. Let’s just hope the radio doesn’t overplay songs like they usually do. |
