Senioritis is not a MythBy Alicia Wilson
Staff Reporter March 10, 2017 Seniorities is not a myth, every senior can tell you it's real. Senioritis usually kicks in around mid January of the new year.
If you’re showing signing of not feeling motivated to class , even more skipping classes and turning in incomplete work this most likely means that you have seniorities. What exactly is seniorities? Well it's when you hit that lazy part of your senior year. You're done with college applications and testing so now you're just waiting those six months until you can cross the stage and be finished. Almost like running a 5K but skipping that actual race and just running across the finishing line. Everyone may laugh at senioritis and take it as a joke, that's fine but don't let it affect your last few months of high school. There's nothing wrong with relaxing and enjoying your last year of high school but don't let it make you lose all your motivation because the results can be devastating to your future. Did you know colleges can tell when you have senioritis; they'll be able to tell by your transcript. Yes, you may have sent your transcript in either your junior year or the first semester of your senior year, but at the end of your senior year you have to send a final copy to the college you plan to go to. It's really not worth throwing away four years of hard work and putting with so much nonsense, try to stay motivated and push through the finish line. |
