How To Have A Fairey Good Night
By Mary Escott
Crossword and Sports November 9, 2017 Cold weather, candy apples, funnel cakes and sketchy rides- this year’s fair is back and better than ever. The Volusia County Fair opened November 2, 2017 and will be going on until November 12, 2017.
When at the fair you can get food, watch people perform, walk around, go see the petting zoo, play games and, of course, ride rides. You’ll need to pay general admission and if you want to ride rides you’ll need to pay for a wristband or tickets. The general admission tickets and wristbands/tickets cost a different amount depending on the night you go. The fair also has discount nights were you could bring coke cans and other items to get a discount. On the November 2nd -5th, 9th, 10th, and 12th are all 20$ ride bracelet nights. The 6th is $15, the 7th is $2 ride night where you pay $2 per ride, the 8th is 18$, and the 11th is $25. Those are all the prices for a ride bracelet. Some of the discounts to get into the park include brining can foods for the can-food-drive on the 6th, student night, bring your school id for a free admission on the 7th and veterans night, get in free when you’re a veteran or serviceman by brining you id on the 10th. The general admission would be $10 for 13yr olds and older, $7 for 6-12yr olds, and 5yr olds and younger get in free with an adult. Since it’s November and the weather is starting to cool down, the fair and cold weather is a perfect combination. When going to the fair you’ll need to bring lots of money and a purse or deep pockets so you can keep your valuables safe. Besides the food and rides you can always see people perform like the illusionist, the magnificent dog show, and the beloved petting zoo that has goats, sheep and a baby kangaroo! Going to the fair can be a whole lot of fun and going with your friends and or family makes the night to remember. |
