Business Manager March 9, 2018 Wavy, kinky, spirals and beach waves are many different curl patterns that people have. All styles of curls are all natural and all lovely, that is why taking care of these curls is important.
One important thing to do when taking care of your curls is to figure out what your hair needs so you can choose the right products that will help keep it healthy. Is it dry, have a lot of moisture, is it frizzy or does it have so many different things going on? Asking yourself these questions and figuring out what your curls need to help steer you to those products that will protect and define those curls. If your hair is dry, one product that can help bring out the moisture is either moisturizer that is designed for curls or just coconut oil. Keeping those natural oils and moisture in your hair is one important thing to do. Also, using products that are specifically designed for curly hair and is SPF free will help our hair grow, keep the moisture and have the defining curls many of us desire. Washing your hair too much can strip out the natural oils and moisture in your hair and make it frizzy and dry. Make sure when you wash your hair it is at least once a week and use shampoo and conditioner that can help repair your damaged hair. Once done washing, don’t towel dry. This will cause your hair to frizz and dry out. Once you wash your hair, apply moisturizer or leave in conditioner to keep that frizz away. Last thing to remember is to not brush your hair, especially when it is dry; this will cause frizz and damage your hair. When washing your hair, use a wide tooth comb or your fingers to comb through your hair when you have the conditioner in. Also, stay away from heat because this can cause major damage to your curls and the curl pattern you have. Use light heat or just stay natural. Curly hair is beautiful, show it off! These tips will help your curls be beautiful and healthy. |
