Batman vs. Superman Movie Review!By Jess Rivera
Opinion Editor April 15, 2016 The Batman vs. Superman movie was quite an anticipated film. The thought of our favorite superheroes going at it while watching it all unravel in front of seems intriguing but unfortunately we were robbed. Let’s be clear, the movie was okay in a sense; the title was deceiving.
The movie starts with Superman defending the world from General Zod and his army but people begin to complain over the thousands of life that were lost. Hence, leading them to question what superman should and shouldn’t do. He becomes a controversial figure. Many look up to him for hope and others consider him a threat to humanity. And in the list of people who feel superman needs to be controlled is, of course, Bruce Wayne. In the movie, the rivalry between them is obvious. They both go at it a few times and there is a part in the two hours and thirty minutes that they fight for about ten minutes. That is until they both realize that there is a third party whose evil plans becomes much more imperative. If I were to put a rating on this film, I would give it three stars out of five mainly because I didn’t watch what I thought I was going to watch In this incredibly long movie, I didn’t see much action at all. Let’s just say, Batman and Superman’s rivalry isn’t as intense as we thought. Nevertheless, the plot of the movie wasn’t bad. I won’t say Ben Afleck was the greatest batman, no one could surpass Christian Bale’s role as Batman, but his acting wasn’t all that terrible. Henry Cavill, who plays Superman does an exceptional role along with Gal Gadot who plays Wonderwoman. In my opinion, Batman vs. Superman is a film that depicts a story that we were not at all expecting. |
